Jordan Henderson branded 'ugly and disrespectful' by former Manchester City defender

Jordan Henderson has been branded "ugly and disrespectful" for an incident which reportedly took place during England's victory over Montenegro on Monday night

England claimed a 5-1 win in their second Euro 2020 qualifier, which was marred by allegations of racism directed towards several English players by home supporters.

Given the seriousness of those accusations, which may yet see Montenegro charged by Uefa, the complaints from Stefan Savic about Jordan Henderson pale in comparison to the abuse reportedly faced by Danny Rose during the game.

Montenegrin defender Savic, who played for Manchester City between 2011 and 2012, has hit out at Henderson for an incident which apparently saw the Liverpool midfielder jokingly offer his match shirt to an opponent following a challenge.

"We all know they are a much bigger team than us but sometimes I feel very bad to be playing the same sport as some players," Savic said, via Manchester Evening News.

"Jordan Henderson, for example, sarcastically told our player after one normal clash he would give him a jersey after the match.

"It is ugly and disrespectful. I told him he was good enough not to act like that.

"We are proud and I’d rather play with this team and concede five goals and not with some arrogant players from England."
