This is certainly an interesting comparison.
Former Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has paid his new boss at West Brom a very grand compliment indeed – by comparing him to one of the greatest managers of all time.
Evans sees a lot of Sir Alex Ferguson (over 40 trophies, including 13 Premier League and two UEFA Champions League titles) in Pulis (FA Cup finalist in 2011).
“I’ve noticed a lot of similarities [between Pulis and Ferguson],” explained Evans on Football Focus. “In their personalities and the way they treat people.”
“I met the manager [Pulis] about a week or so before signing, and I liked him straight away. I think he’s a real honest guy and hardworking, and those are things that appealed to me.”
Perhaps an outside bet to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford, eh Jonny?
