Félix has been linked with a move to PSG

João Félix’s future at Atlético Madrid looks even more ominous after he was made to train with the club’s academy players on the first day back of pre-season.

Félix spent the second half of last season on-loan at Chelsea where he only managed four goals in 20 appearances before returning to Spain after Mauricio Pochettino decided he wasn’t the type of player he wanted going forward.

Diego Simeone has also made it clear that Félix has no place in his squad, stripping him of the number seven shirt and The Sun have added that the Portugal international has now been made to train away from the first team.

The forward did eventually join up with the squad however being made to miss a large chunk of the session indicates his days at Atlético are numbered.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing the forward while Aston Villa had previously been linked, but an approach from Unai Emery’s seems unlikely.

Chelsea meanwhile have already made two forward additions to their squad. Christopher Nkunku joined the club after the Blues agreed a deal with RB Leipzig to sign last season’s top scorer in the Bundesliga in January.

Nicolas Jackson, who failed a medical ahead of a proposed move to Bournemouth in January, has also joined from Villarreal.

After cutting down on the number of first team players, Pochettino is also hoping to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton however the Seagulls have set an asking price of £100m.
