Jamie Vardy does nothing to quash rumours of a switch to Arsenal

With the small matter of the European Championships, Jamie Vardy's potential move to Arsenal has been put on the back burner in the last couple of weeks.

Having made his mark on the tournament by scoring almost immediately after being introduced in the game against Wales, some are expecting the Leicester frontman to start in the game against Slovakia. But when facing the press on Saturday afternoon, there was almost as much concern about where Vardy's future lay at club level than there was about whether he'd be getting the nod to lead England against Slovakia on Monday. Predictably, Vardy told the press that there was no updates on his future. "No, nothing. I am here completely focused on England," he said. "I want to stay focused. We're here to represent England and that's all I want to think about." While it's brilliant from an English perspective to hear that Vardy's so keen to knuckle down and give his all to his national side, Leicester supporters might fear the worst with their star man refusing to give any assurances on staying put at the King Power Stadium. By saying nothing, he was perhaps saying everything.
