Jamie Carragher uses six-a-side victory to stick to to El-Hadji Diouf

What a way to respond

Can we not just get Carragher vs. Diouf on the McGregor-Mayweather undercard?

You don’t often see a football feud with as much vitriol as the one that exists between the former Liverpool teammates.

For years now, the controversial El-Hadji Diouf has continued to criticise Jamie Carragher in the media and the most recent instance came during an interview with BBC Africa.

“If he (Carragher) wasn’t a Scouser, he was never going to play football in his life,” Diouf said. “I’m sorry for him. I only have this to say for him.”

Diouf repeatedly takes swipes at the legendary Reds defender, suggesting he never had the skills to make it as a top footballer.

“The difference between Jamie and me is that I am a world class player and he is a shit,” Diouf once said, with the comment prompting the below response.

Carragher is certainly leagues ahead in the witty stakes and, having claimed a six-a-side victory on Thursday night, the ex-England centre-half had this to say.

Diouf seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder from his time at Anfield as he’s not a fan of Steven Gerrard either, having made an unfounded racist allegation against the iconic midfielder last year.

“It’s common knowledge. Gerrard has never liked black people,” Diouf alleged. “When I was at Liverpool, I showed him I was black, that I wasn’t English, but that I’m no pushover. All the time I was there, he never dared looked me in the eye.”

Those claims have never been proven but one thing we do know is that Diouf ought to think twice before walking through Liverpool’s city centre because he’s had nothing but horrible things to say about two of the Reds’ favourite footballing sons.
