Soccer AM viewers were treated to a tackle from a bygone era this morning, as Jamie Carragher charged in on Jimmy Bullard.
Carragher was a guest on the show alongside his Monday Night Football colleague Gary Neville to take part in the show's 'You Know The Drill' segment.
Bullard was dribbling with the ball, about to take on Neville, when Carragher came charging in out of nowhere, catching the former Fulham man off guard and launching himself into a two footed tackle.
Bullard did well to avoid too much contact but Carragher made sure he caught him, leaving everyone on set in stitches.

Bullard's 'You Know The Drill' feature has become hugely popular since he joined the show, and in pre-Covid times would usually be filmed at a club's training ground. Alas, the Boxing Day edition was filmed at the 'John Arne Riise Arena' (their on set mini pitch), and you'd suspect making a tackle, or receiving one, on that surface would be pretty painful.
Thankfully, everyone came out of it unhurt and there were smiles all round.
