James McClean involved in spat with Everton fans after being substituted

James McClean appeared to be involved in a heated exchange with Everton supporters after the West Brom player was substituted in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Goodison Park.

It seemed that the Irishman reacted to Everton supporters who directed two-fingered gestures at him as he left the field of play, reports the Daily Mail.

Baggies’ boss Tony Pulis told the media following the game that he would have words with McClean about the incident, after he had looked at it thoroughly.

“Whether that is true, there are other things going on with the crowd. If James has got involved, I will speak to him.”

Pulis also had a water bottle thrown in his direction, although it missed his feet.

“I have had worse thrown in my direction,” he added, playing the incident down.
