The most anticipated boxing match-up of the year commences this Saturday, as former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua meets in the ring with YouTuber-turned fighter Jake Paul.
While Paul has begun to build a reputation for himself after a number of successful bouts, including a recent win over Mike Tyson, the Joshua fight would be by far the biggest moment of his boxing career.
The situation is vastly different for Joshua.
The 36-year-old was once viewed as one of the best boxing talents in the world, but after losing his belts to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021, and a shock defeat to Daniel Dubois 14-months ago, Joshua has significantly fallen from grace, and is in need of a statement victory to re-launch his reputation.
Regardless of that recent form, Anthony Joshua is one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of his generation.
After winning Olympic gold in 2012, the 6"6"fighter went on to become world heavyweight champion through a shock TKO victory over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium in 2017, a match-up that went on to be named "Fight of the Year" by The Ring magazine.
Paul vs Joshua takes place in Miami on Saturday, 20 December.
