Good to see he’s just as rowdy as ever

Jack Wilshere was sent off for his part in a mass brawl at the end of Bournemouth’s win over Watford on Saturday afternoon at  the Vitality Stadium.

It began when Watford forward João Pedro left his mark on Jefferson Lerma with a nasty tackle, earning himself a second yellow card, though you’d suspect his studs-up lunge would have been worth a red regardless.

Tempers then began to flare when Lerma gave Tom Cleverley a push, prompting Adam Smith to get involved and pull the Colombian away from any potential conflict.

More players arrived, forming a massive huddle, before it appeared to die down. The TV cameras then missed whatever happened to light a fuse and spark a full on brawl.

As the video shows, Wilshere was being pulled in every direction by various players. Side battles began to take shape, as Ismaila Sarr chased Smith, and Lerma was dragged away from the melee.

Then the coaches got involved. Bodies were pushing and shoving everywhere. Quite why they’re all so invested in this fight is still unclear, but something has made them all very angry.

A yellow card was shown to Sarr, before Wilshere was given his marching orders. And to his credit, the former Arsenal man had no complaints.

Replays showed that just as it was all dying down, Wilshere charged over to confront Tom Cleverley for… something.

What can you say? He just lives for the drama.
