Jack Wilshere posts message to Instagram amid links with Rangers

The former Arsenal midfielder is currently without a club

Once the most highly coveted young footballer in the world, rubbing shoulders with and impressing against some of the best to ever play the game, Jack Wilshere now finds himself, at 28, without a club. Wilshere was released by West Ham United this week, the latest regrettable chapter in a career that promised so much only to deliver relatively little due to injuries. He is now being linked with a move to Rangers, with one Italian journalist named Nicolo Schira claiming that the two parties are in "advanced talks" over a free transfer. Wilshere took to social media in the past day to post an Instagram story featuring an hour glass, suggesting that it is only a matter of time before he finds a new club. Despite his lack of playing time in recent years and his injury problems, there will likely be no shortage of suitors - particular at a certain level - interested in Wilshere. On Tuesday, Wilshere released a statement confirming his departure from the London Stadium and his desire to compete at the highest level yet again.
