Confusion.
Liverpool supporters knew pretty quickly that they’d not actually gone 3-0 up in the 71st minute, when Marko Grujic’s strike was chalked off after teammate Adam Lallana, who was in an offside position, was spotted pulling at the goalkeeper’s arm.
The biggest indicator that the goal didn’t stand was the fact that the Reds’ opponents, Bayern Munich, didn’t kick off from the centre circle.

But it was long after the game had restarted courtesy of Bayern’s goalkeeper, Sven Ulreich, that the commentators who were covering proceedings realised that the scoreboard still read 2-0, meaning that Grugic’s goal had, in fact, been disallowed.
Viewers simply couldn’t believe that the obvious had passed the commentators by for so long and they took to social media to vent their absolute disbelief.
I wonder if the commentators are going to notice this goal has been chalked off at any point.

A third Liverpool goal eventually did arrive, when Daniel Sturridge came off the bench and chipped home a sumptuous strike only to injure himself in the process and limp out of the game.
Sadio Mane and summer signing Mohamed Salah had given Jurgen Klopp’s side a 2-0 half-time lead and their interplay left many a supporter excited about the season ahead.
As for the game’s commentators, we’ll give them a pass because it’s preseason and they’re still coming to terms with that back-to-work feeling.
