Here’s how EE customers can get BT Sport for absolutely nothing this season

Not bad

Matt Tate

We’re so close to the start of the new Premier League season that we can almost taste the freakishly well-kept grass.

We’re going to assume that you, the JOE reader, wants to watch as much of the football as possible, so the latest news from EE could be of interest to anyone currently without a subscription to BT Sports.

From today, EE customers will be able to access the BT Sport app for absolutely nothing, regardless of their internet provider. That means that, as long as you have a smartphone or tablet, you can watch 42 live Premier League games, as well as every match in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. There’s also FA Cup matches, Aviva Premiership Rugby, European Rugby Champions Cup, MotoGP, UFC and loads of other sporty goodness.

The app is available for free for the first six months, and then it will cost you £5 a month on a 30-day rolling add-on deal.

Anyone currently using the BT Sport will know that the pretty slick enhanced video player allows you to watch the game from multiple camera angles and check key events and goals at any time. Handy when you’ve missed the first 20 minutes.

If you’re with EE, all you need to do is text ‘SPORT’ to 150 from any EE handset,  or call customer services. They’ll provide you with a BT ID which you can use when registering with the app.

All the terms and conditions can be found at the BT Sport website
