Harry Kane won’t be available for Tottenham Hotspur’s game against Manchester United on Saturday.
The Spurs striker has been ruled out of the match with a “minor hamstring strain”, which he picked up during the 4-1 win over Liverpool at Wembley last Sunday.
Kane left the game in the final minutes clutching his left hamstring. Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said the player was merely tired, but Kane didn’t feature against West Ham in the League Cup on Wednesday.
Fernando Llorente, his replacement up front, was substituted in the 3-2 loss for Moussa Dembele after 72 minutes, despite the fact Spurs were searching for an equaliser. It now seems like Pochettino was withdrawing the Spanish forward with a view to Saturday’s trip to Old Trafford, anticipating that he would be without Kane.

Pochettino confirmed Kane’s absence in his pre-match press conference on Friday morning.
“For tomorrow, we cannot take a risk,” the Spurs manager told reporters.
“It’s a minor injury, very small, but we cannot take a risk. We’ll see after for Wednesday against Real Madrid. Tomorrow, it’s impossible.”

The news is a massive blow to the London club, and a huge slice of fortune for Jose Mourinho.
United and Spurs go into Saturday’s game level on points in second place, and with Kane in excellent form. The 24-year-old has eight goals in nine Premier League appearances this season, and has been, along with Kevin de Bruyne, the best player in the division.
