As a bit of a Spurs hero, it's fair that Glenn Hoddle would have a soft spot for Harry Kane.
But his comments about Harry Kane's (missed) penalty for England against Turkey on Sunday evening have got some people severely confused.
Hoddle complimented Kane on his penalty, despite the fact that the Spurs striker put the ball wide.
It had people *fairly* confused...

Even Spurs fans were confused...

To be fair, it was one of the best missed penalties we've ever seen from an England striker, and we've got a LOT of examples to choose from.
It wasn't the only issue England fans took with Glenn Hoddle's commentary.
Vardy struggled to get on the end of an incisive pass from Harry Kane towards the end of the match, and Hoddle criticised Vardy for not getting on the end of it.
Some fans pointed out that Kane held onto the ball for a good few seconds before releasing the pass.
