Arsenal are reportedly interested in the Dutchman

Georginio Wijnaldum is reportedly open to a return to the Premier League on loan but Paris Saint-Germain appear unlikely to let him leave the club.

The Dutchman joined PSG on a free transfer from Liverpool last summer, but he has struggled to feature regularly in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up since his move.

Although the midfielder has made 20 appearances for the Parisians this campaign, just 1o have been as a starter – with Pochettino often favouring Ander Herrera, Idrissa Gueye, Marco Verratti and Danilo Pereira ahead of him.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are thought to be interested in taking the Netherlands international on loan if PSG decide to let him leave the Parc des Princes.

Wijnaldum spoke about his situation in Paris in October, where he admitted that he was “not completely happy” due to his lack of playing time.
