Geordie Shore star’s second MMA bout confirmed for London this September

He's 1-0

It’s definitely not a publicity stunt.

Suggestions that the MMA career of Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers was no more than an attempt at keeping his name in the public eye were quickly rubbished in May.

Chalmers secured a second round submission victory in his first bout, displaying solid technique as he drew the tap from opponent Greg Jenkins with the use of an Americana after just two minutes of action.

Nicknamed ‘The Joker’, Chalmers will return to the BAMMA cage this September, when the promotion sets up shop in London’s SSE Arena, Wembley.

An opponent has yet to be named and the weight division has yet to be confirmed.

It should be pointed out that Chalmers came in a full 15lbs overweight for what was initially slated to be a lightweight debut back in May.

Whatever the weight class and whoever the opponent, the reality TV star is excited to get back to business and prove that he’s taking his new career very seriously.

“If you’d said a year ago that I’d be fighting at Wembley in London, I’d have said ‘You’re having a laugh!'” Chalmers said.

“But dreams can come true. It’s one of the biggest venues, if not the biggest venue in this country.

“There have been so many great fights there and I can’t wait to get back in there and, hopefully, put on another great fight.”
