“You have mislead your coach, and finally, me.”

Geoffrey Kondogbia has lashed out at Valencia president Anil Murthy, accusing him of destroying the club and deceiving both manager Javi Gracia and himself.

Valencia are in full blown crisis, as demonstrated by their summer transfer window, which saw numerous big players leave, including their captain Dani Parejo for no fee, and a grand total of zero new signings.

Kondogbia was one of a few senior players to stay at the club, with José Luís Gayà and Daniel Wass, apparently against his will.

In his outburst posted to his Instagram story, he accused club president of ‘deceiving’ him. Reading between the lines, it’s clear that Kondogbia is angry at being denied a late move to Atlético Madrid, who showed interest in the Frenchman.

And you can’t really blame him for wanting to jump off a sinking ship.

“After having destroyed an ambitious project, you had to mislead your coach and, finally, me. Thank you Anil Murthy,” Kondogbia said, with three sarcastic clapping emojis for good measure.

Reports surfaced recently that Valencia boss Javi Gracia was considering walking away from the job after just five LaLiga games, due to the fact that no new signings had come in during the summer, despite having picked up seven points from those five games.

Clearly there is internal chaos at the club, on top of their ever worsening financial situation. This is the nadir of Peter Lim’s reign as owner and the last thing the club needed was one of their better, senior players publicly calling out the president over broken promises.
