Garth Crooks thinks Lacazette spoiled his goal against Everton with ‘spine-chilling’ celebration

For his goal alone, Alexandre Lacazette deserved a spot in Garth Crooks' team of the week

Lacazette finished superbly to give Arsenal a second-half lead against Everton on Sunday afternoon, curling his shot into the corner of Jordan Pickford's goal via the inside of the post. 'What I don’t get is the appalling disco jig that follows. Why spoil such a wonderful finish with such a spine-chilling dance? What's wrong with punching the air or running to the crowd?' Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang swiftly followed Lacazette's opener with Aresenal's second, turning home despite appearing to have been clearly offside when the ball was played to him. The Gabonese striker's goal was the final one of the game, sealing a victory which leaves Arsenal with their fifth consecutive win in all competitions. They return to league action with a game at home to Watford next weekend but will first host Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
