The coach was shot after violence broke out in the stands between the two sets of supporters
A third division football game in Argentina was abandoned after the head coach of Ferro de General Pic was shot in the shoulder.
The game between Huracan Las Heras and Ferro de General Pic saw violence break out in the stands after sections of the Huracan supporters broke out into fights amongst themselves.
According to sports paper Ole via Sky Sports, both sets of players had to flee the pitch after gunshots broke out in the stands with the head coach of Ferro, Mauricio Romero, received gunshot wound to the shoulder.
The head coach of a third-tier Argentine football team was shot and players fled the pitch as Huracan Las Heras fans fought among themselves during a match.

In a statement from Ferro on their social media account, they confirmed that Romano was safe in hospital and recovering well.
They said: “Romero is doing well and out of danger.
“After leaving the stadium he underwent tests in a local hospital and is now giving a statement to police.”
Meanwhile Huracan condemned the violence in the stands and do not welcome those supporters in the stands.
They said on a Facebook post: “For years families have been chased from grounds.
“May all those that harm the club stay away so that the real fans can return.”
Meanwhile in an official statement on their club website, they said: “We are aware that we have been part of a barbarism that is difficult to understand and explain, which will mark the sports and institutional career of the professional team and our club.
“Our Institution will always watch over the values, integrity and health of our athletes, which allow us to pass the competences of the different disciplines. Today more than ever, those who direct the destinies of soccer must mark the way for us with actions so that we never experience a similar situation again.”
