Franz Beckenbauer is Bayern's honorary president and while he may not be directly involved with the club's running day-to-day, he is still seen as a very powerful figure around the club.
The former World Cup winner with Germany as a player and manager is in attendance at the champions' final game of the season, and wasasked before kick-off about speculation suggesting Gotze could be sold this summer.
The former Borussia Dortmund man has failed to sparkle under Pep Guardiola and has long been linked with a reunion with former BVB coach Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Beckenbauer feels it could be the best move for all concerned if the German international does move on.

Various reports in Germany suggest Gotze would prefer to stay in the Bundesliga, but the chance of a reuniting with Klopp, and the indication that Bayern may prefer to see him play in England next season, may suggest he is Anfield bound.
