Frankfurt's Luka Jović scores five in hammering of Fortuna Düsseldorf
The international break is over, rejoice...
Unless you happen to be a Fortuna Düsseldorf supporter, that is...
With the Bundesliga resuming on Friday night, last season's Bundesliga 2. champions were hammered 7-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in Waldstadion.
Sébastien Haller opened the scoring for the home side via a penalty on 20 minutes. While the French striker would go on to add his second after the break, the night unmistakably belonged to his young teammate, Luka Jović, who helped himself to the home side's other five goals.
The 20-year-old Serbian doubled their lead in spectacular fashion, his acrobatic volley earning him with his first goal of the game with little over 25 minutes played.

By half-time, Haller had set him up for his second of the night to send Frankfurt in at the break with a comfortable lead. Later, after Haller had scored his second, Jović completed his hat-trick by rounding off a pacy attack. He would then add two more within the space of a three minute spell midway through the second half.
Mercifully for Fortuna, Jović was brought off towards the end of the game, denying him the opportunity to complete a double hat-trick.
Prior to Friday, Jović, who is in the second year of a two-season loan deal from Benfica, had already scored four goals for Frankfurt this campaign. Now on nine, he has already equalled the tally he achieved during his first season with the club.
The 7-1 rout lifts Frankfurt to sixth - ahead of struggling champions Bayern Munich, who play at Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon, on goal difference.
