The account’s bio was changed to feature the words ‘No To Racism’

Sebastian Coltescu, the UEFA fourth official who is alleged to have racially abused the Istanbul Basaksehir assistant manager Pierre Webo on Tuesday night, has had his Instagram account hacked.

The Romanian fourth official was accused by Webo of referring to him by his skin colour when calling for the referee to send him off early in the first half of the match.

Coltescu’s comments provoked anger among the staff of both Istanbul Basaksehir and their opponents on the night, PSG, leading to a walk-off by both sides and an eventual postponement of the game until Wednesday evening.

In the aftermath of the incident, which UEFA has said it will fully investigate, Coltescu’s private Instagram was hacked, with its bio replaced with the words “HACKED by @vipergord & @ahmet.bzgln” and the message “#notoracism”.

His profile picture was also replaced by that of the man he is alleged to have racially abused.

After the incident on Tuesday, a number of the players involved in the game took to social media to express their dismay at what had happened and publish anti-racist messages.
