Tottenham name asking price for Harry Kane amid Man United links

Tottenham have reportedly set Harry Kane's asking price to £100m following interest from Manchester United. Erik ten Hag is keen to bolster his attacking options following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November. Wout Weghorst was brought in on loan until the end of the season, but Ten Hag wants a more long-term option and have been linked with Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen. According to Football Insider, Spurs won't entertain offers below £100m for their club captain. Kane was the subject of heavy interest from Manchester City in the previous summer however they ended up choosing to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes that Haaland's move to the Etihad Stadium rules out any future move to Man City and that the red side of Manchester is a more viable option for the 29-year-old. "He’s a great professional and I think if Harry Kane could leave now and get him an exit out of there to a club in Manchester - probably United or City, I think he would take that opportunity," he said. "Now, it’s more than likely that it wouldn’t be City because of their [Erling] Haaland expenditure and what they’ve done with him. Manchester United are desperate for a centre-forward. "Tottenham fans will be furious with me - they’ll say it’s me coming on television trying to get their player to Manchester United. It’s not. It just looks to me like at this moment in time that the most likely move." The Spurs captain is enjoying another stellar season in front of goal, scoring 18 times in the Premier League and is only behind Haaland in the goalscoring charts. Related links:
