Millwall and Everton fans will forever remember his penchant for absolute worldies
Tim Cahill has announced his retirement from football after a career that spanned Europe, North America, Asia and his native Australia.
Most recently the midfielder has been playing for Indian club Jamshedpur having finished up on the international stage, but he will be most fondly remembered at Millwall and Everton.
Cahill broke into the game in East London, leading the Lions to the First Division and 2004 FA Cup final. Heading north to Everton, he took to the Premier League with consummate ease and made over 250 appearances as a key part of a successful period for the club.
A hard working terrier in both boxes, fans adored Cahill for his attitude and goal tally. Despite his diminutive stature, the Aussie scored plenty of headers in amongst some scorching long-range crackers.

"I'm an old man now in football years," the 39-year-old told Optus Sport to confirm his retirement.
"I'd love to keep playing, you know 39, had a great stint for six months in India.
"But I'm interested in TV, going to start my A Licence and spend quality time with my family and chill out for a bit.

"It was amazing to play in four big continents. I had a great career and I'm really thankful. I’m someone that massively respects the game and I'll take my time to learn more.
"Coaching is something that's definitely going to be on the horizon."
Since leaving the Toffees, he has enjoyed spells with New York Red Bulls, Shanghai Shenhua, Hangzhou Greentown, Melbourne City, a brief return to Millwall, and most recently Jamshedpur.
