Thierry Henry has revealed that one of Arsenal's biggest rivals tried to sign him during his playing days.
Henry is widely regarded as one of Arsenal's best-ever players and is a legend at the club having scored 228 goals across two spells for the Gunners.
His loyalty to Arsenal still remains strong and the Frenchman even threatened to walk off the set of the CBS studio while on punditry duties for Wednesday night's Champions League fixtures after being asked if he ever had the chance to play for Tottenham.
Presenter Kate Abdo asked: "Could you ever have played for Spurs?"
Disgusted by the notion, Henry said: "Please, Spurs? I'm leaving. No, no, no. Joking aside, I wasn't actually joking on that one."
He then revealed that he did in fact receive an offer from them but turned down the chance to join one of Arsenal's main rivals.
"No - I had the opportunity and I declined," he said.
Jamie Carragher then said: "Spurs came in for you?" Abdo then added: "For triple the money?"

Henry remained coy, saying: "Exactly for what you said and I said 'no'" before Carragher, determined to know who the side was, asked: "Who came in for you, Manchester United? It's got to be a rival of Arsenal."
Carragher was met with a similar response from Henry, who said: "No, I won't say. You can say whatever you say, I will say no all the way."
It's not the first time the former Arsenal forward has taken a jab at their north London rivals. While working for Amazon Prime Video's coverage of French football, Henry was asked if three straight defeats in a row for Rennes would affect their confidence ahead of a European fixture against Spurs.
The Arsenal legend simply said: "Sorry, who? I don't know them."
