Hugo Lloris has pleaded guilty to one charge of drink-driving after appearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning. The Tottenham captain was arrested by police at around 2.30am on August 24th having failed a roadside breathalyser test. Accompanied by two associates, Lloris was greeted at court by a media scrum but quickly navigated his way into the building. Inside, the details of the case were heard, where it was reported that Lloris had 'vomited' and 'had to be helped from his car' after being stopped by police. The 31-year-old apologised for his actions shortly after the incident became public knowledge. "I wish to apologise wholeheartedly to my family, the club, my team-mates, the manager and all of the supporters," he said. "Drink-driving is completely unacceptable, I take full responsibility for my actions and it is not the example I wish to set." Lloris now faces the prospect of a lengthy ban and a significant fine based on his earnings at Tottenham.
