Rangers suspend pair after dressing room bust-up following Scottish Cup defeat to Celtic

Their careers at Ibrox look to be over.

Rangers have suspended Kenny Miller and captain Lee Wallace after the pair were involved in a furious exchange with manager Graeme Murty following the club's Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic. The Hoops put Rangers to the sword at Hampden Park on Sunday, with goals from Tom Rogic, Callum McGregor, Moussa Dembele and Oliver Ntcham giving Brendan Rodgers' side a comprehensive victory over their rivals. According to the Scottish Sun, the pair have more than likely played their last games for the club. Miller's contract is set to expire at the end of the season but Rangers are expected to terminate the deal with immediate effect. Murty hinted that there were plenty of intense emotions in the dressing room during his post-match press conference. "There should be disappointment and frustration and anger there," Murty said. "It is about making sure they turn that into positives and energy to power us through to the end of the season, rather than allowing it to be disruptive. "The players need to respond for themselves. It isn't just Celtic we have got to play. There are big games ahead of us and we need to make sure we get a response between now and the end of the season, if we want to finish as we should."
