Rangers face Eintracht Frankfurt in the final

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos was spotted on the streets of Seville rallying Rangers fans ahead of their Europa League final against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.

Morelos was greeted by several Rangers fans

Morelos is ruled out of Rangers’ biggest fixture of the season through injury, but rather than sit at home and miss out, he chose to travel to Spain and soak up the atmosphere with over 100,000 supporters who have made the trip.

The Colombian forward was spotted wearing a Rangers bucket hat and embraced several fans, posing for photos and walking through the city centre.

As of yet there has been minimal trouble in the Andalusian capital however as per Glasgow Live, one Rangers fan has been injured following an attack from a number of the German ultras which resulted in five people being arrested.

Rangers boss is ‘determined’ to bring trophy home

Rangers are in their first European final for 14 years – a defeat to Zenit St Petersburg in the 2008 UEFA Cup final – and will be hoping to secure their first continental trophy since 1972.

Ahead of the fixture, Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst said he and his side are “determined” to bring the trophy back home to Ibrox.

“I am very proud to be manager of the team and even prouder to take the boys into the final. It is a huge opportunity to get the second major European prize in history for this club so we are very determined to bring the trophy back with us.”

Having beaten Borussia Dortmund, Braga and RB Leipzig to get to the final, they come up against a Frankfurt who are also dreaming of European success, having not reached a final since 1980.

The Bundesliga side have beaten Real Betis, Barcelona and West Ham United to get to the final showdown and have over 50,000 fans travelling to watch, despite both clubs only being officially allocated 9,000 tickets each.
