Premier League clubs want their South American stars back before this weekend's fixtures
Several Premier League clubs have joined together to arrange a flight which will ensure that their international stars arrive back in time for the league's weekend fixtures.
Nine players representing Brazil and Uruguay will fly back after their World Cup Qualifier in Manaus, Brazil which takes place on Friday, October 15 at 1:30am UK time.
Involved will be the likes of Liverpool's Fabinho and Alisson, Manchester United's Fred and Edison Cavani as well as Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City, amongst others.
There is also talk of arranging two separate planes so that players can be arrive back as close to where their clubs are playing in time, with Tottenham Hotspur arranging their own flight for their four South American players Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez and Emerson Royal to return in time for their visit to Newcastle United on Sunday.
Despite racing against the clock to get their players back from international duty, it is still highly unlikely that many will feature this weekend given such the short turnaround with some Premier League games as close as 35 hours after the final whistle in the Brazil Uruguay clash.
Meanwhile four clubs have had a major boost as their players will no longer have to quarantine. Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay have all been removed from the government's red list, enabling Aston Villa, Spurs and Newcastle United to play, allowing Emiliano Martinez, Lo Celso, Romero and Miguel Almiron to be available for this weekend.
The likes of Everton's Yerry Mina and Spurs' Sanchez however will still have to quarantine for 10 days with Colombia still on the red list.
