Paul Gascoigne has compared The Sun to The Beano after the Scottish edition of the tabloid published an article claiming he was flirting with Kirsty Gallacher.

The article, which appeared online on Tuesday afternoon, claimed Gazza was 'trying to woo' the Sky Sports News presenter as he replied to one of her tweets. In actual fact, the 'wooing' amounted to a single message from the former England international, reading: 'Ha hi how are u x'. Yep. That was it. Tweeting later on Tuesday, Gazza made clear to his followers that he was merely saying hello to Gallacher, who he has known as a friend for 20 years. Also adding that the ice cream man is the only person he flirts with, Gazza signed off his tweet by claiming the only difference between the newspaper and The Beano was 10p - much to the amusement of many of those replying to him. https://twitter.com/Paul_Gascoigne8/status/960985168398946304
