Neal Maupay

He never misses

Neal Maupay continued his s**thousery on social media in the aftermath of Brentford’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United.

United thought they had won the game in the 97th minute when Mason Mount fired home against Brentford only for them to concede straight from kick off and drop two points.

The Red Devils were lucky to come away with one point, let alone potentially taking three, as Brentford dominated the game. The Bees had 86 touches in United’s box, as well as 34 shots.

Maupay was introduced as a second half sub and although he didn’t score still wanted to have the last laugh and posted a picture of himself and Scott McTominay.

In the photo, McTominay is seen holding Maupay’s shirt and the forward captioned the picture: “This fan was desperate for my shirt,” followed by a laughing react emoji.

This season has seen Maupay involved in plenty of controversy. From copying James Maddison’s celebration to winding up Kyle Walker, the forward has established himself as the Premier League’s chief s**thouser.

Brentford break Premier League record

Brentford’s dominance didn’t reward them with three points but it did see them break a Premier League record.

According to Squawka, the Bees were the first side to have the 80+ touches inside the opposition box in a single league match this season.

Manager Erik ten Hag even admitted that United didn’t deserve to win the game.

He told Match of the Day: “We were winning in the end, maybe it wasn’t deserved but then you have to take the three points so the it is very disappointing to draw the game.

“Brentford were better than us today. They showed more passion, desire and determination as we did. The quality of this team is they fight for it, but we have to show more. We scored the goal but then threw it off the line.

“Brentford were more focused and more aggressive and it should be the other way round.

“We were winning, we should compliment the team for that, but then we gave it away and that is very disappointing. There are many games to play. Let’s take this point. In the end it could be a very good point.”
