Mikel Arteta will meet with Ivan Gazidis to discuss terms.
It looks like Arsene Wenger's former captain Mikel Arteta is set to succeed the Frenchman and take over as Arsenal manager after reports today have confirmed that he is in the process of holding talks with Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis.
Arteta, currently Man City's assistant coach, has expressed his interest in the role to both Pep Guardiola and City's Director of Football Aitor "Txiki" Begiristain, who have given the former Everton and Arsenal midfielder the go ahead to complete the move.

It has also been reported that Thierry Henry could be returning to his former club as part of Arteta's backroom staff.

Arteta made over 100 appearances for Arsenal over the course of five seasons, joining in 2011 and becoming club captain in 2014. Injuries blighted his last two seasons at the club and he made his last appearance against Aston Villa in 2016, receiving a standing ovation at full-time.
Upon his retirement that summer he immediately joined Pep Guardiola at Man City, serving as his assistant coach along with Brian Kidd and Domènec Torrent, winning the 2017-18 Premier League title.
