Big news, this.
Mesut Özil, fresh from helping his Arsenal side to a Europa League semi-final on Thursday night, has finally found it within himself to apologise to that dog.
Like we said, big news.
About a year ago, footage of the Jack Russell Terrier started doing the rounds on Twitter. Watching what appears to be footage of Arsenal's 3-1 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier in the 16/17 season, the dog, bless him, attempts to retrieve one of the German international's corner kicks. He does not succeed. Obviously.
Perhaps it was guilt; perhaps it was whoever's in charge of his social media channels looking for something to pump out for hashtag-flashback-friday... whatever it was, the fact Özil has decided to issue an apology appears to have been well retrieved received by the thousands of people who have decided to retweet it.

The first leg will take place at The Emirates on April 26, with the return leg in Madrid a week later.
There. That'll do.
