Marcus Rashford dropped by Ten Hag for Man United vs Chelsea

Rashford has struggled for form this season, scoring just twice in 13 Premier League games and as a result, appears to have been dropped to the bench.

United are looking to return to winning ways after a toothless display in Newcastle that saw them fall to a 1-0 defeat.

They face a resurgent Chelsea side who held on to secure a 3-2 win against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.

A win at Old Trafford for Mauricio Pochettino's side will move them to within a point of the Red Devils.

Chelsea will also be buoyed by reports which claimed that a number of players had lost belief in Ten Hag, with damning allegations suggesting that Ten Hag had lost as much as 50 per cent of the dressing room.

The club strictly denied those allegations, leading to the Dutchman accusing the media outlets of "going behind" United's back after they banned four journalists from attending the pre-Chelsea conference.

Asked about the situation, Ten Hag said, via Manchester Evening News: “They should have come to us first and not go behind our back printing articles that is not the right thing. 

“We have a good relationship, they come to us beforehand, we have a debate about it.”
