Football fans working their magic yet again
Liverpool players left the Stade de France empty-handed on Saturday night after they were beaten 1-0 by Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Vinicius Junior scored the winner shortly before the hour mark as Madrid ended Liverpool’s hopes of winning a treble as Jurgen Klopp’s men fell just short in Paris.
As with any defeat in a final, players, fans and staff were left feeling sombre as the ultimate prize in football slipped away from their hands.
Understandably, some felt sorry for them, but for fans of opposition clubs, it was a golden opportunity to have some fun and mock the Liverpool squad.
One Snapchat user decided to use a filter on the Liverpool players as they went up to collect their runners-up medals in Paris to make it look as if they were beyond devastated.
Take a look for yourself at the work of art:

So, so funny, yet so, so cruel (depending on who your allegiances lie with).
People found the prank hilarious on social media
Of course people instantly clocked onto the hilarious filter and joined in with piling the misery on the Liverpool players and fans.

As you can see, lots of sympathy for the Liverpool squad. Never change football social media.
Following their defeat on Saturday night, the whole team returned to Merseyside as they begun their trophy parade to celebrate their Carabao Cup and FA Cup successes with fans of the club.
