Extremely rich PSG may not be as rich as we all think
Kylian Mbappé's desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain, in addition to a lack of transfer business, is down to a delay in receiving his wages for September.
News of Mbappé's intent to leave the French side has come months after signing his bumper three-year deal, which initially ended speculation about a move to Real Madrid.
L'Équipe have since reported that the Frenchman noticed that he hadn't received his wages for the month of September and by the time the story first broke on October 11, was still yet to receive them.
Mbappé would eventually be paid a small sum of his earnings for the month but not in its full entirety.
The forward's agent has since reportedly asked for answers regarding the delay in payment, with some reports claiming that issues with Financial Fair Play (FFP) while others claim a general issue with club accounts.
PSG's star man has since been paid all of his wages and bonuses according to the club's press team.
As speculation begins to mount over where Mbappé will be playing in the long-term, reports have emerged claiming that Manchester United could be prepared to make a move.
United are considering cutting ties with Cristiano Ronaldo following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan and are prepared to terminate his contract in January, six months before it is due to expire.
According to the Mirror, United are one of the only clubs in the world who would be able to pay the £150m plus asking price as well as the £500,000-a-week he would have to be paid.
After all, there's nothing like replacing the biggest diva in football with the second biggest diva in football.
