Kingsley Coman grew up idolising players at the Reebok Stadium

Bayern Munich winger and Champions League winner Kingsley Coman has revealed that he grew up supporting Bolton Wanderers as a kid. The 26-year-old was asked about some of his heroes growing up and while he named some of the biggest stars in football like Ronaldinho and former teammate Franck Ribery, there were surprising names included.

Coman has been a Bolton fan since he was young

Among those names were also some members of one of Bolton's greatest periods such as Jay-Jay Okocha and Kevin Nolan as he explained the Premier League side he enjoyed watching most growing up. As a child, Coman most likely saw the Bolton side of the 2004/05 season which included Okocha, Kevin Davies, Ricardo Gardner and Jussi Jaaskelainen and was managed by the one and only Sam Allardyce, as the Trotters finished sixth in the top flight. Given that there were plenty of other big clubs to pick from such as Arsenal, Manchester United and more, fans were shocked to hear Coman's admission. Coman is looking to add yet another trophy to his cabinet

Coman is about to enter his eighth season with Bayern Munich as he looks to continue his run of winning a league title in every season he's played in. Since coming through the Paris Saint-Germain academy as a 16-year-old, the Frenchman has won titles with PSG, Juventus and Bayern - the most recent of those the German's 10th consecutive top-flight championship.
