Kvaratskhelia is set to be at the centre of a bidding war this summer

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent has revealed that his client dreams of a move to Real Madrid as speculation over his future hots up.

Kvaratskhelia only joined Napoli last summer from Dinamo Batumi but has impressed in Naples to the point where the fans have given him the prestigious nickname: Kvaradona.

The 22-year-old has 12 goals and 15 assists from 26 games in all competitions this season and his performances have led to interest from a number of parties across the continent, including Newcastle.

According to his agent however, there is one club that Kvaratskhelia truly dreams of playing for.

Speaking to Georgian publication GeoTeam, he said: “His father and I are Barça fans, but Kvara loves Real Madrid.

“If I see him in a Barça shirt I’ll be happy, but he’s Madridista.”

Despite the constant links, the 22-year-old is reportedly in no rush to leave to leave Napoli after talks were held over extending Kvaratskhelia’s deal.

“In January, I was with [Napoli] sporting director [Cristiano] Giuntoli and he told me there’s no rush to renew his contract. We aren’t in a rush, either. Khvicha likes everything about Naples and there’s nothing more to it for now.

“I’ll repeat what I’ve said before: Kvara won’t play for any Italian club other than Napoli.”

“If we decide something, Giuntoli will be the first to know. We had a very friendly chat and talked about other talents from Georgia.”

Alongside Victor Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia has been instrumental in guiding Napoli to the top of Serie A as the club aim to win their first Scudetto since 1990.
