KFC threaten to sue FFF over Kylian Mbappé's sponsorship issues

KFC are threatening to sue the French Football Federation (FFF) following Kylian Mbappé's refusal to promote the company. The fast-food chain are the current sponsors of the FFF but were left unhappy after Mbappé reportedly refused to take part in a photoshoot with the national team following a long-running dispute over players' image rights. "The French Football Federation needs money and KFC agrees to pay to have an image of what we are paying for. "He is committed with the Federation to produce a collective image with each time at least four other players. We're going to stop paying and then that's it," Alain Beral, vice-president of KFC France, told Sport Business Club. He then added: "We are going to follow this very closely because there is no question of having signed a contract which is not respected." According to the Daily Mail (via Get France Football News), Mbappé was reluctant to be associated with gambling firms and fast-food companies, which prompted him to make his feelings known to the FFF.
