Harry Maguire has apologised to England supporters for his mistake in England's 3-3 draw with Germany on Monday night. England boss Gareth Southgate stuck with the 29-year-old despite calls to drop him, giving the 29-year-old a huge chance to regain some form. But Maguire was at fault for Germany's first goal, fouling Jamal Musiala in the box before being dispossessed as Kai Havertz's doubled the away side's lead. The Three Lions fought back to score two goals in three minutes courtesy of Luke Shaw and Mason Mount before Harry Kane's penalty looked to secure a first win of the Nations League however Havertz scored again minutes later to ensure a share of the spoils. After the game, Maguire posted to his Instagram account, apologising for the mistake at Wembley. He said: "Mistakes are part of the game , I apologise. Great fight back and spirit to get us back into the game by the lads . Take the positives and look forward to Qatar . "There were so many important moments in the game he produced and I think it would be harsh to criticise him for the second when he’s dribbling 80 yards from our goal," he said. "These are important players for us. I think our experience on nights like this is critical.
