Ziyech was set to join the French giants on loan
Hakim Ziyech’s loan move to Paris Saint-Germain has been officially rejected after the French club launched an appeal to the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP).
Ziyech looked set to make the move to Ligue 1 on Tuesday night only for the deal to break down at the eleventh hour.
Reports in France have claimed that the collapse was down to Chelsea, who sent PSG the wrong documentation numerous times.
It left the Morocco international stuck in Paris – waiting to sign for Christophe Galtier’s side – however he will now return to west London and remain at Chelsea for another six months, at least.
L’Équipe have reported that Chelsea sent through unsigned documents to the French club twice , delaying the relevant paperwork being completed in time after initially sending the wrong form.
PSG have been left frustrated by the outcome of what happened, labelling it as a ‘class A circus’ while other reports in France have said that Chelsea were being ‘greedy’ in their demands for the winger.
The 29-year-old has only featured 10 times in the Premier League for Graham Potter’s side this season and was hoping to end his torrid time at Stamford Bridge.
