No matter what happens on Sunday, he will go down as one of the great England managers. If England were to go one step further and actually win the tournament, then he would go down as one of the legendary England managers. And throughout his entire tenure, he has shown exactly what Gary Neville mentions: respect, humility, honesty. At a time when England has been a conflicted and divided place, Southgate has shown us exactly how leaders should be. We could all learn a thing or two from him and his team.
