Someone at the EA Sports HQ has messed up...
Happy FIFA 23 release week!
As people around the globe get excited about the new game, people are keen to see the new features and if the gameplay is actually any different.
One of the fresh parts of each year is seeing each of the kits in their pixelated form but it appears somebody at the EA Sports Headquarters has messed up.
Those playing the early release edition ahead of its full release on Friday September 30 noticed that Chelsea's third kit is in the game. Now that's all well and good apart from one issue... Chelsea haven't released it themselves yet.
The kit, designed by Nike, seems to feature a golden base with black and orange trim while the shorts are entirely gold and the socks white with a black and orange trim also appearing.
The leak has obviously hit social media with many quick to give their opinion on the kit, and the error of confirming the kit before Chelsea even had the chance to do so.
One person wrote: "Nothing to see here just FIFA 23 announcing Chelsea’s third kit before Chelsea themselves…"

A second person said: "FIFA 23 casually dropping our third kit early."

Meanwhile another person tweeted: "Kai Havertz wearing our unreleased third kit in Fifa 23."

This year's edition of the game will be the final time it is named after the world football governing body following their decision to
part ways with EA Sports.
As of next year, the game will be known as EA Sports FC, but to be honest, we're all still gonna call it FIFA, aren't we?
