The director of football has been criticised for several poor transfers in recent years, with Everton having spent big-money to try and reach the European stages and it looked like fans have had enough.
In a video posted to Twitter, the Dutchman can be seen in conversation with the fan who shouts aggressively: "What do you think of that? Did you recruit them?"
The fan then described the performance as "absolutely s**t" before telling Brands to "get out of our club."

The 59-year-old, clearly incensed by the supporter's comments, promptly responded by saying "Do you think it's only the players?"
Fans of the club were particularly intrigued by Brands' comments, with one fan reckoning that the Dutchman's comments were a dig at under-pressure manager Benitez, which sums up the sorry state of affairs at the club right now.
He said: "Now I've calmed down surely calmed down surely that's a dig at the manager and everything above them.
"This club is rotten top to bottom. He is a yes man."
Meanwhile, another fan noticed Brands on his own at half-time, suggesting something is not right in the hierarchy.
He said: "I don’t believe Brands has any say in anything, I looked across at half-time and he cuts a very lonely figure. Clearly there’s friction."
