England Euro 2024 groups

England are one of the nations seeded for the draw

As the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign draws to a close, attention now turns to who England will face in the group stage.

The Three Lions booked their ticket to Germany with relative ease, taking 20 points from eighth games and finished it off with a 1-1 draw against North Macedonia on Monday night.

Gareth Southgate’s men now await the draw in Hamburg on Saturday 2 December to see who they will face.

Given that England finished top of the group and are seeded they are likely to avoid some of the bigger names in the tournament, but Sky Sports have worked out what the best and worse case scenarios are as Southgate and co look to win a major tournament for the first time since 1966.

There are still play-offs and other qualifiers to take into fact but in a best case scenario, a group containing: Albania, Slovenia and Serbia would be perceived as very favourable.

To flip the switch, they argued that the worst draw for England would be a group consisting of: Denmark, Netherlands and Croatia.

24 sides will be at Euro 2024 while the remaining three nations will go through a play-off format to secure their place.

England are one of the favourites to win the tournament.
