The aftermath of a tackle from Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard on a Cadiz player has been revealed as the defender posted a series of shocking photos on Twitter.
Carlos Akapo was caught by Hazard with a late tackle in the 75th minute of the game between Madrid and Cadiz on Sunday and was forced to limp off the pitch.
It was later revealed that Akapo had suffered two broken metatarsal bones as a result and revealed just what his foot looked like as a result of the injury.
A very grim injury
A fair warning, it is rather grim.
As well as the picture of his bloodied and bruised foot, the defender also posted the results of his X-ray scan, which revealed he had broken the second and third metatarsals in his foot.
The 29-year-old posted the photos with the message saying: "Thanks to the people who have cared, my second and third metatarsals are broken. Now it's time to recover and die next weekend," before then questioning why Hazard was only shown a yellow card with two doubtful-faced emojis.

Cadiz boss admits he wasn't sure if Hazard should have been sent off
Cadiz Sergio also criticised the decision that saw the former Chelsea winger remain on the pitch. He said: "He has a strong injury, the action is ugly, I don't know if it's red or not."
While it remains unclear how long Akapo will be out of action for, it is almost certain that he will miss Cadiz's final game of the season against Alaves on Sunday.
The La Liga side are currently embroiled in a relegation battle and occupy the last spot, however they are level on points with 16th-placed Mallorca, who currently have a better goal difference.
