Dominic Calvert-Lewin has opened up on his recent struggles in a heartfelt message on Instagram, admitting that talking saved his life during an extremely difficult period. The Everton forward missed a large chunk of the season through injury, making just 17 appearances in all competitions and scoring five goals. In an emotional post shared to his Instagram, Calvert-Lewin explained the emotions he had been feeling as he thanked the Everton support for getting behind the team. "On a personal note I have had to dig deep within myself at times this season and have endured some of the most difficult times of my career and my life to date," he said. "The love and support helped carry me through. The 25-year-old then offered advice to his followers, encouraging people to open up on their problems and how speaking to family members or friends can help. He added: "To all the young kings suppressing emotion I advise you to talk, to a friend, family member or someone that will listen, talking saved my life.
