Beckham is earning lots and lots of pennies

David Beckham’s work with high-profile brands has seen him earn a reported £9m in profit.

The financial statements and directors’ report for 2021 for Beckham Brand Holdings Limited, of which David and wife Victoria are directors, have been made public, revealing how much he makes from his partnerships.

Overall the group, which included the management of the ” David Beckham business and brand”, “investment in the Victoria Beckham global fashion and beauty brand” and “ownership participation” in football club Inter Miami FC showed that he made a profit of £19.1m after tax, up from £11.6m in 2020, with a revenue of £34.3m, up from £11.4m.

As a result, the annual turnover works out at £653,846 a week throughout 2021.

The report said: “The increase in revenue is as a result of the successful growth strategy to work closely with the group’s brand partners in expanding the reach and commercialisation of the David Beckham brand.”

Available on Companies House, the report states that new contracts starting from 2021 with the likes of Electronic Arts, Adidas, Tudor, Diageo’s Haig Club and Maserati.

The latest report doesn’t contain the £10m deal that Beckham signed to become an ambassador for the recent Qatar World Cup.

Beckham, who is seen as an icon for the LGBTQ+ icon after modelling for gay lifestyle magazine Attitude in 2002, was heavily criticised for signing the deal with a country where homosexuality is considered illegal.

Comedian Joe Lycett highlighted these points by shredding £10,000 of fake cash after he failed to pull out of the deal.
