He could make his debut in the FA Cup first round
Crawley Town have invited a famous YouTuber to train with the club with a view to him making his debut in the FA Cup first round against Accrington Stanley.
The League Two side confirmed on Thursday that Tobi ‘TBJZL’ Brown – who is a founding member of the Sidemen and has over 4.5m subscribers on his channel – will join the club for training ahead of the game on November 5.
Brown will also be joined by his brothers Manny – who also has five million combined followers in his own right – and Jed for the training session on November 1.
Their invite comes after Crawley sent scouts to watch the recent Sidemen charity match as they took on a team of rival YouTubers at The Valley.
Tobi and Manny both combined together to score three of the Sidemen’s eight games and caught the eyes of the League Two side, who are currently 19th in the fourth tier.

Preston Johnson, co-chairman of the club, said: “We’re excited to have Tobi, Manny and Jed joining us for training on Tuesday, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they can bring to the club. Depending on how they perform, we may extend offers to continue training with the lads on a trial basis and potentially compete for a spot on the bench for the Accrington Stanley match.
“As we’ve said before, it’s fairly unlikely they’d get on the pitch unless the game is well in hand, but we want to give them the opportunity to show Lewis and the staff what they can do in training and then go from there.”
