The Belgian international is a wanted man
Chelsea have received an official bid for striker Romelu Lukaku, Sky Sports have confirmed in a breaking report.
After re-signing for the Blues in the summer of 2021, Lukaku has since been on loan to Inter Milan and Roma in Italy.
Now, another Italian outfit have reportedly submitted an offer for the player.
Under the stewardship of new manager Antonio Conte, it has been reported Napoli that have lodged a bid worth €30million, which is a loan with an obligation to buy.
This news come after a torrid start to the season, in which the Naples giants were defeated 3-0 by Hellas Verona.
Conte pulled no punches on his team’s need for improvement stating:
“Napoli finishing 10th last season isn’t a coincidence. Whoever thinks it was just bad luck is far from reality.”
The latest on Victor Osimhen revealed
Chelsea have long been linked with a swoop for world-class Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Earlier however, it was reported that their main competitors Paris Saint Germain have cooled their interest in the striker.
Throughout the continuing transfer saga, PSG were seen to be Chelsea’s main rivals over landing the striker.
However, the £100m+ transfer fee has reportedly deterred them.
The two clubs, Chelsea and Napoli are reportedly discussing Lukaku and Osimhen as two separate deals.
